European stock markets rebound at open

Europe’s main stocks markets rebounded at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index gaining 0.2 percent to 6,680.47 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 won 0.2 percent to 10,410.30 points and the Paris CAC gained 0.5 percent to 4,407.45 compared with the close on Tuesday.
Markets had slid lower Tuesday and Tokyo retreated Wednesday after oil prices slumped on a gloomy forecast for crude demand, and as investors contemplate a possible US interest rate hike as early as this month.
